Nairobi Political Caucus, a conglomeration of UDA political/MCA aspirants from Nairobi County in the just concluded General Elections, have pledged to closely work with President William Ruto’s administration to propagate the bottom up economic approach in Nairobi.

Addressing the media on Friday, the Caucus led by its Secretary General Peter Njagi Ndwiga say they strongly believe the unique and enduring partnership they founded during the campaigns, based on friendship, common history and the mutual love for the Hustler Nation, will bring vital mutual benefits for the people.

‘Your Excellency, we know that your biggest priority is navigating the economy forward while at the same time, making a decisive break from the business-as-usual economic policies so as to accelerate job creation and leave no one behind in the empowerment process. As your political foot soldiers, we are fully behind you on this,’ Njagi said.

He further said the Caucus looks forward to working with Ruto not only to develop closer relations between the national government and Nairobi County being the country’s Capital City but also to concert their efforts in cause of unity and the harmony of all Kenyans.

The Caucus’ Organizing Secretary Scholastica Wanjiku appealed to Ruto to get them some slots in government as one way of appreciating their efforts in the campaigns.

Her remarks were echoed by the Caucus’ Cordinator Terry Anita who said as women they faced a lot of harassment during the campaigns and that their efforts needs to be taken into consideration.

‘We faced a lot of challenges during the campaign period like the President did. We humbly ask that our efforts do not go in vain.’ They said.

Njagi ran for UDA MCA nomination in Nairobi CBD Ward but lost while Wanjiku tried for the same in Ziwani Ward and also failed as it happened to Anita in Claycity Ward. All of those wards are in Nairobi County.

They are now humbly appealing for a seat in the table either in the County or in the National Government.
