By John Kariuki
Local investors especially those in the mid-sized enterprises have implored upon the Administration of His Excellency Dr. William Ruto to fast track ease of doing business by making the economy conducive.
Catherine Kathure is the Chief Executive Officer of Homelink Mabati Company Limited.
Speaking to The Times Digital on the sidelines of the ongoing Nairobi International Trade Fair, Catherine observed:
“As an investor I’m urging the President Dr William Ruto to mind the local businesses which has suffered alot especially since the Corona virus pandemic. We are urging him to come up with business-friendly incentives,”
At the same time Catherine urged the Ruto administration to ease the taxation which has become burdensome to most local start ups.
“At the moment Homelink I have employed at least fifteen young people directly. If the government can make it easier by lowering taxes imposed on imports, we can be able to employ more and hence assist in tackling the issue of unemployment,” she concluded.
