Muthaiga Golf club among overnight leaders in the Patrons club event

Muthaiga Golf Club is among overnight leaders in the on-going inaugural Patrons Club tournament that ends on Sunday at Muthaiga Golf club.

Other over night leaders include sigona golf club, Nyali, and Ngong Racecourse based Golf Park Golf Club.

The different categories in contention include- The main Trophy, shield, plaque and bowl respectively.

On Saturday, the teams played four ball better ball in the morning and faced off each other in foursomes format in the afternoon.

The event is being held in commemoration of the late President Mwai Kibaki who was the Kenya Golf Union Patron.

The tournament has attracted 13 clubs each comprising of 12 players.

The final round of the event will be played today Sunday where the players will play against each other in the singles.

“The Kenya Golf Union is greatly involved in the technical bit of the tournament by ensuring that there are enough referees on the course for the four days event. We are also ensuring that all player play by the rules of golf,” observed Philip Ochola who is the Vice Chairman of the Kenya Golf Union.
