The controversial Nairobi County executive committee nominee Maureen Njeri who has formerly served as director for environment in the Nairobi Metropolitan Service (NMS) has been vetted.
Njeri was in a hot soup for failing to honour ten invites to various oversight committees as she was serving as the director for environment at the NMS.
The MCAs led by majority leader Peter Imwatok named Njeri a rogue officer for snobbing the committee invites and never responded in a letter.
“You were invited by the assembly ten times and did not attend a single one are you not arrogant officer?” Umoja two MCA Mark Mugambi asked.
“The current pending bill for environment and waste management is Ksh. 4 billion which has accumulated in the past two years,” she said responding to a question asked on why garbage collection is minimal in the City.
