Mobility and Works CEC Nominee Put To Task Over Greenpark Terminal
The legality and whether public funds were prudently used in the construction of Green Park bus Terminal has found its way in the vetting of Nairobi County CEC nominees.
Mobility and Works nominee Patrick mbogo Kuria was on the spot over the failure of the bus terminal to decongest Nairobi.
Appearing before the Select Committee on Appointments, the nominee was put to task over the investment that continues to draw divergent views over what it should be used for.
Umoja Member of County Assembly Mark ‘Ronaldo’ Mugambi sought to know the viability of using the terminal as a drop off point and yet still allowing the PSV busses access to the city Centre to pick passengers.
However, in his defence mbogo argued that Greenpark has not been effective because the other terminals that were to be completed concurrently delayed in completion due to funding
“All the other sattaions that out to have complemented NMS were not complete in time. They were supposed to be commissioned together,” said Mbogo.
