Fafi MP Offers Full Scholarships for Students in Teaching, Medical Courses

Students from Fafi Constituency in teaching and medicine courses will be offered full scholarships.
Fafi MP Salah Yakub aka Hangool has offered to support youth in the Constituency, saying education was key to a better future for them and development of the area.
“Education being the key to a better future, my administration has pledged and laid down preparations to offer one hundred percent scholarships to students studying teaching and medicine courses”, he said.
The legislator said this in Fafi following a week long consultative meetings with other elected leaders, the area residents, security agencies, community leaders and public servants on challenges in the Constituency and its potential.
“These scholarships will enable us to do away with the perennial shortage of teachers and doctors in the constituency”, Mr Yakub told the residents.
The consultative meetings were held in upper Fafi at Alinjugur, Jarajila and Hagadera to discuss a number of issues affecting the region.
“Apart from representing our people’s interests and concerns in the August House, there must also be moments to share with them at personal level”, the indomitable first time legislator said.
Together with the security agencies Mr Yakub also engaged the Hagardera community on the prevailing land dispute issue to reach a harmonious conflict resolution mechanism.
