Kenya on its way to retain title during international tourney

Kenya is set to retain its number one position during the 10th edition of the Mombasa Open Tong-IL-Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship 2022 with a total of 171 medals.
This is despite financial constraints in organizing the International Martial Arts Championship held at the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa county.
By the time of going to press Jasiri had accumulated 44 gold medals, 50 silver medals and 77 bronze medals.
Phillippines is second with eight gold medals, three silver medals and 16 bronze medals with a total of 27 medals.
Zambia is third with five gold medals, four silver medals and 10 bronze medals.
Newcomers India are in fourth position with four gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal.
At position five, Korea won four gold medals, two silver medals and five bronze medals, and sharing two gold medals each are USA and Brazil.
However USA is ahead with three silver medals and four bronze medals while Brazil trails with two bronze medals.
Paraguay has one gold medal, five silver medals and one bronze medal.
The championship ends tonight at the Agah Khan Academy in Mombasa.
This year’s event was attended by 13 teams.
