Hon Kore’s Lauds NG-CDF as Inclusive

Mandera South Member of Parliament Ebrahim Kore has underscored the importance of the National Government’s Constituency Development Fund NG-CDF.
According to the MP CDF is a very important local development initiative which is a unique initiative of doing development differently
“A development initiative which involves the communities in planning, and identifying local needs as well as implementation. NG-CDF has constructed classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, toilets, security structures, police posts, chiefs offices,” said Ebrahim.
He added that it has been paying schools fees stduents from poor families in secondary schools, tertiary institutions and universities.
“The 5,000 secondary school students in Mandera South like in many other constituencies have been applying to benefit from the scheme. we have now gone a step further and slotted space for teacher tuition scholarships to deal with the rising teacher problems in Mandera County,” he added
Hon Kore notes that application for the NG-CDF scholarship is underway and calling on all candidate aspiring to benefit from the scholarship programme he/she must be a Kenyan Citizen and MUST meet the qualifications set by the Ministry of Education.
“Applications for the MST NG-CDF scholarships will open today, 15th January 2023 and close on 15th April 2023… The programme will support 150 beneficiaries and is aimed at having a great impact on the new Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) Education System. At the end of the study, successful applicants will be bonded to teach in MANDERA South for a minimum period of three years.”
