Ruto Is Not Intending to Change the Constitution Says Kipipiri MP
The event, whose theme is “equipping the 21st legislator for effective service delivery,” is co-hosted by the National Assembly leadership and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
While speaking to the press, Wanjiko Muhia, the Member of Parliament for Kipipiri Constituency in Nyandarua County and also the chair of the East African Community’s regional integration, stated that the presidential address earlier today was in line with their expectations of the day because he touched on pertinent issues such as the CDF and separation of powers, which is currently a hot topic in parliament.
“I must say that today’s expectations have been met because today was the opening day this induction .We expected the President to touch on many things which are on the agendas of what we expect especially separation of powers and the general induction of new and former members who have made it to 13th parliament,” she said.
On speculations about changing the constitution hon.Wanjiko also notified the press that there is n no such intention as the president is only trying to perform his mandate as the Country’s president.
