There is no Crisis in Azimio Says Raila

The Kenya Kwanza administration is faced with a leadership crisis and not Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition, Azimio leader Raila Odinga has pointed out.
Raila has refuted claims the coalition is facing a crisis in its administration and parliamentary group meetings.
He insisted it is President William Ruto’s administration that has a heavy yoke due to gains made during the struggle for democracy through the repeal of Section 2A of the Constitution of the old constitution.
“The new administration is taking a high risk by taking the country back to the dark era of single party rule,” he pointed out.
Raila lashed out at the Kenya Kwanza administration for wasting the gains made and instead rolling back time to the single party era instead of the current multiparty era.
He spoke during an Azimio Parliamentary Group meeting held in Machakos County. There was one minute’s silence in respect of former Education Cabinet Secretary George Albert Omore Magoha who passed on recently.
The Azimio coalition leader pointed out that there is also the risk of undermining gains made through the promulgation of the 2010 constitution.
Raila called for loyalty by elected members to the political parties they are affiliated to until the 2027 general election.
He pointed out that there is the question of the legitimacy of the government after the controversial August polls.
“We did not expect to see the regime’s true colours so soon and hardly six months after the polls,” he pointed out.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka asked legislators elected on the Azimio coalition ticket to stand firm against plans to scuttle the gains obtained during the struggle for the country’s democracy.
He reminded the forum there is work that needs to be done before the 2027 general election and cautioned them not to allow themselves to be counted as wrongdoers where the country’s history is concerned.
“There is need to salvage the country’s democracy before it is thrown to the dogs,” he said.
Kalonzo challenged the government to get to the genesis of IEBC whistler blowers.
