Where is the Video Showing Police Raided Your Karen Home Matiang’i Told
By Tobby Otum
Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has been challenged to show a video clip that police officers raided his Karen home in Nairobi with the intention to arrest him.
Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua demanded members of the public to demand to be shown video footage showing that police officers carried out a raid at his house to establish the truth.
He asked them to at least show still photos of police officers present at his residence to support their claims.
‘I think it was not true and I suspect Matiang’i was daydreaming,’ he pointed out.
Mutua said Matiang’i has entered the stage of denial that he is not in the current government.
He was answering questions from journalists during his visit at the Coast National Polytechnic in Mombasa County.
The CS had visited Kenya-Canadian government bilateral projects in the coastal region.
The CS said he wondered how come that in the current information and communications technology age none of his legal counsel had an idea to come up with a video footage showing police officers at the former CS’s residence.
Mutua wondered why the battery of lawyers were unable to take photos of police officers present at Matiang’i’s residence.
He asked why there is no video footage on social media showing the government raid.
‘I know Matiang’i is going through a stage of not believing the Azimio coalition lost during the general election,’ he pointed out.
The CS announced the Canadian government has come up with a Kenya education for employment program through their taxpayers’ money.
Mutua said the country’s students will undergo a training program ready for employment.
The Canadian government has set aside Sh1.8 billion to educate Kenya students with plans underway to roll out the next program at the tune of Sh2 billion.
