At the same time, the party called on Kenya Kwanza adminstration led by President William Ruto to stop shrinking the democratic space in the country created by multiparty democracy arguing that concerted efforts by Kenya Kwanza kakistocracy should worry all right-thinking Kenyans.
‘If this trend is allowed to continue then Kenya will end up in the pre-2002 situation where multiparty is only a word and not the practice’, The Party’s Secretary General Eseli Simiyu SAID.
Siaya Governor James Orengo who represented Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leadership congratulated Wamalwa and asked him to be ready for the task ahead.
