The Law Society of Kenya on Friday held its inaugural Prayer Breakfast.

The event was graced by Chief Justice Martha Koome, as the Chief Guest, and the Chairman of the Senior Bar Association, Dr. Fred Ojiambo, SC. 

The year’s theme was “Kickstarting the year 2023 with His grace and wisdom”.

The inaugural prayer breakfast meeting was geared towards upholding, strengthening and developing the profession, stakeholders, and the Nation by bringing together leaders from all sectors of society, to pray for each other and the government on key issues of the day and to encourage one another to keep manifesting the ideals of faith in their respective spheres of influence.

Addressing the meeting, CJ Koome said the prayers came at a critical moment in the country and asked all in the legal profession to always embrace prayers.

‘This country was given to us by God and it belongs to all of us,’ Koome said.

Among several government organizations and bodies were represented at the event.
