We will organize street demonstrations to force the Kenya Kwanza administration out of office.

There is an urgent need for President William Ruto and his administration to go back to the drawing board and put their house in order.

The civil society organizations under founder of Concerned Citizens Kenya Bradley Ovua said the country’s backbone is tourism and agriculture.

He urged the government to settle down and start working and move away from the campaign mood.

“The idea of Kenya Kwanza cabinet secrecies traversing the entire country as though the country is still in a campaign mood must come to an end,” he pointed out.

Ovua challenged the Head of State to improve the country’s economy as he has succeeded the Jubilee administration.

He was speaking during a joint media briefing with other civil society organizations drawn from the coast region on the country’s economic situation held at Muhuri offices outside the Mombasa law courts in Mombasa county.

Other civil society organizations’ representatives who addressed the media were Inform Action Coast Director Ms Uba Suleiman, Muhuri Executive Director Mr Omar Elmawi and Muhuri’s Rapid Response officer, Francis Auma.

The Concerned Citizens Kenya convener told the media the government must embrace investors rather than scaring them away from investing.

Ovua asked the government to roll up its sleeves, stop praying and settle down to work.

He pointed out that during his inauguration speech President Ruto said they found government coffers empty and urged them to settle down to improve the country’s  economy.

“The government must encourage investors to come to the country instead of scaring them away,” he pointed out.

Speaking at the same media briefing Muhuri Executive Director Omar Elmawi pointed out the current sad state of affairs in the country has necessitated them to make their stand on the country’s ailing economy.

He said their role is to point out mistakes of the government of the day and what it has to do for the public’s interest.

“Our joint statement is not a political statement but a call for order,” he added.
