Education committee hosts Zambian Delegation
The National Assembly Education Committee led by the Vice chairperson Hon. Malulu Injendi (Malava) has held a consultative meeting with their counterparts from Zambia, who are on a benchmarking visit in the country.
At the meeting, members of the two Parliamentary House teams deliberated on how best they can work together towards acquiring the best practices in provision of free and universal education for all.
Hon. Injendi gave a brief overview to the Zambian delegation led by the chairperson Hon. Twaambo Mutinta on how free education was started in Kenya, and offered recommendations on how the Southern African country can smoothly implement a similar system.
“As a country we have reaped many significant benefits through the implementation of free education policy. For the system to work, the government, stakeholders and the community should work together to ensure every child has access to quality education,” said Hon Injendi.
