DG Muchiri Supports Investigations at City Hall
Nairobi Deputy Governor James Muchiri has encouraged the DCI officers to get to the bottom of ongoing investigations.
Muchiri said that it is in line with Governor Sakaja’s will of ensuring zero corruption city Hall.
“I support that the sleuths should do their work and ensure those involved in corrupt deals are unearthed. Our promise has been to ensure there is zero corruption,” Muchiri stated.
Earlier on, Sakaja had replied to a tweet saying that those looting must be punished and monies recovered.
“Yes. All looting must be punished and monies recovered. I support,” Governor Sakaja replied to a tweet by senior counsels castigating the corruption at City Hall.
Earlier today, Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai blasted the DCI Officers revealing that there a section of senior officers at City Hall that are selling all the narratives to DCI and hoping that they will use some magic fishing rod to find a fictitious payment which doesn’t exist.
“Some employees who were so powerful yet so corrupt at the Nairobi City County are finding it hard to work under the new leadership with assembly which is keen to monitor everything. They are selling all these narratives to DCI and hoping that they will use some magic fishing rod to find a fictitious payment,” Alai stated.
He said that he personally engaged the auditors from the Office of the Auditor General at City Hall and the claims of hot air payment are not true.
