Security has been beefed up ahead of this year’s Mombasa international show with a pre show on Monday

Agricultural Society of Kenya [ASK] Coast branch chairperson Anisa Abdallah said the local  county commissioner has assured them that security is top agenda during the five-day event.

She revealed that all exhibitor stands are expected to be completed by Monday ahead of the event.

“The event judges will carry out their judgments on Tuesday and on Wednesday the show doors will be opened to members of the public,” she pointed out.

Anisa added they have been addressing marketing strategies to have a better turnout compared to the last event.

She was addressing the media during this year’s ASK harvest festival and thanks giving service ahead of the show held at the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Memorial Cathedral in Mombasa county. Mombasa ACK Diocese Reverend [Bishop] Alphonse Mwaro presided over the service.

The ASK Coast branch chairperson told the media that learning institutions have confirmed their attendance.

Anisa assured the show goers the subject of climate change is covered by all exhibitors and that President William Ruto is expected to preside over the opening ceremony.

She confirmed a total of over 200 exhibitor stands,  both local and foreign, will showcase their products during the five-day even.

“The final touches are being done by exhibitors on their stands before Tuesday,” she emphasized.
