Westlands Flood victims get Donation from CS Miano, MP Wanyonyi

Trade and Industrialization Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano yesterday donated relief food and essential items to Westlands Sub-County residents affected by floods.

Miano was accompanied by Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyiband other stakeholders from her ministry.

The CS called upon the private sector and the community to help support Kenyans affected by floods.

“I appeal to well-wishers in the private sector and the community to step foward help our fellow Kenyans. Any small contribution will help a great deal.” She said.

The ministry made a donation of 11,831 stuffs which included beddings, assorted food stuff and essential items.

The CS said that her ministry is committed to helping everyone in dire situations especially now that there are many families affected by floods.

On his part, Westlands MP thanked Miano for the support to over 500 families in his Sub-County adding that it has made a difference.

“Honoured to donate food, blankets, and mattresses to over 500 flood victims in Westlands. Grateful for the support from Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano and the PS for their presence and contributions. Together, we’re making a difference.” Wanyonyi said.
