Cruise ship makes maiden call at port of mombasa
Kenya Ports Authority [KPA] Managing Director Captain William Ruto has sent passionate appeal to investors to investment into cruise ship tourism at port of mombasa
He pointed out the Cruise terminal facility at the port aims at investors to investment in the sector ay port of mombasa.
‘’’Today we are happy for maiden calls from Mahe Seychellies’’he pointed out.
Ruto said the authority is out to support investors on vessel tourism sector.
He was speaking the reception of the arrival MV Insigna docked at port of mombasa along berth number with 280 passengers on board and 400 crew along Mombasa port Cruise Terminal berth number one in Mombasa county.
KPA MD has assured tourist security in the port and within the entire county is good and paramount .
He added the government has ensured the tourists coming into the country and their excitation are safe ,
‘’’Let the cruise vessel makes the port of Mombasa their designation home ‘’ he urged.
KPA boss told the media that the arrival of the vessel is what the government has been yeaning in cruise ship tourism .
Captain Ruto lauded the cruise ship docking at the port saying is good things to come.
He said the vessel is not the first to call at the port and won’t be the last one to call urged the sector to make the facility to be their own port .
