Joho Urges Politicians to Prioritise Finance Bill 2024 Over Distracting Debates

Politicians have been urged to stop diverting focus from the contentious issues affecting the country at the moment.
Orange Democratic Movement [ODM] deputy party leader Hassan Joho has asked politicians to concentrate their effort on the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
He refuted claims that at the moment the one man one shilling debate is the elephant in the room.
“Those discussing the debate have their priorities wrong and misplaced,” he pointed out.
Joho said the debate aims at diverting the attention from the acid test on the Finance Bill.
He was addressing the media during Eid-Al-Adha prayers held at Ummu Kulthum mosque in Mvita constituency Mombasa county. The celebration comes amid high cost of living with livestock and foodstuff prices in the country having skyrocketed.
The ODM deputy party leader told journalists the Bill with taxes being on top of the agenda is the priority.
Joho insisted that, if passed, the Bill will force traders to close their business premises due to the taxation imposed in the bill.
 He pointed out the controversial Finance Bill  2024 must be discussed with sobriety.
The Mombasa pioneer governor has sent a passionate appeal to parliamentarians to listen to the voice of the electorate on the bill before it is passed into an Act.
Joho has challenged parliamentarians to stand firm on the public participation saying there is no option but to listen to the voice of Kenyans on the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
