Government Dedicates Youth Week to Digital Jobs and Innovation
The government has set side a whole week to dedicate it to youths countrywide Youth Affairs Principal Secretary has disclosed.
Ismail Maalim said the government has skilled them with opportunities available to them.
He pointed there is collaboration at all levels of government with partners and the private sector.
“The theme of this year’s celebration is about digital jobs and innovations,” he said.
He was speaking during this year’s International Youth Day celebrations held at Swahili Pot Hub in Mombasa county.
The Youth Affairs Principal Secretary said the theme of the celebration is in line with government creating employment for youths.
Ismail Maalim defended the government move saying it is through Hajria Hub employment to youths or through other platforms.
He said the government has been celebrating the day since 2005 through different ways.
“Since August 6th to the climax of the event of the week has been dedicated to youths celebrations day,” he disclosed.
The Youth Affairs Principal Secretary said the day is dedicated to the youths and the celebrations are being held in all the 47 counties across the country.
Ismail Maalim assured the youths the government will walk with them to archive their goals in their careers.
