International Youth Fellowship (IYF) Celebrates 30 Years of Empowering Youth and Shaping the Nation

International Youth Fellowship (IYF) has today marked the 30th anniversary with a grand celebration that drew together youth, leaders, and dignitaries from across the nation.

 

The forum was graced by Principal Secretary Joseph Mogosi Motari State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizens Affairs in Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and presided over by the IYF founder, Reverend Dr. Ock Soo Park, alongside other distinguished guests.

 

The celebration reflected the organization’s long-standing commitment to youth empowerment and its pivotal role in shaping future generations. Principal Secretary Joseph Motari state Department of Social Protection who read the spech on behalf of the First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto.

 

“The entireless commitment to nature people is inspiring. 30 years ago under a tree the evangelism mission work began. It has grown to a network of 300 branches across the Nation. In a country of 70 percent of the Youth Population, your work is crucial. As we commemorate 30 years of success. The programs you have established through the GBS TV have touched many Lives. Reverend Dr. Ock Soo Park we encourage your work and continue with the mission.” Said Principal Secretary Joseph Mogosi Motari State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizens Affairs in Ministry of Labour and Social Protection on behalf of Mama Rachel Ruto.

 

A major highlight of the day was the graduation ceremony for the 6th cohort of the IYF Free Weekend Academy, where 7,000 graduates received their certificates.

The program, known for its focus on practical skills and leadership development, has helped thousands of youth enhance their personal growth and professional potential. Today’s graduates join a growing network of young leaders ready to take on the challenges of the modern world.

 

In his address, Reverend Dr. Ock Soo Park emphasized the importance of equipping youth with the right mindset, enabling them to rise above life’s difficulties and make meaningful contributions to society. He reaffirmed IYF’s mission of molding responsible, forward-thinking individuals who will play a significant role in Kenya’s and the world’s future.

 

Over the past three decades, IYF has mentored more than one million young people in Kenya, a testament to the organization’s broad impact. Through character development programs, leadership seminars, and community service initiatives, IYF has become a cornerstone in the lives of many Kenyan youth, helping them to unlock their full potential.

 

As the IYF celebrates its three-decade legacy, today’s event marks not only a reflection of past achievements but also a renewed commitment to empowering even more young people in the years to come.
