Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua Calls for Meaningful Education Reforms
Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has criticized the Kenya Kwanza Government for its handling of the education sector, particularly the new funding model for higher education, which she described as unfair to students.
Karua, who was accompanied by prominent leaders like Prof. Kibutha Kibwana, Kabando wa Kabando, and Dr. Mukisa Kituyi, accused the government of failing to implement meaningful reforms in education.
The leaders emphasized the government’s disregard for the rule of law and its lack of progress in addressing key issues such as teacher employment.
Dr. Kituyi also expressed concern over the use of blackmail in handling education matters. The group drew comparisons between the current administration and the Kibaki regime, which they praised for its provision of free education to Kenyans, contrasting it with what they view as the destructive policies of President Ruto’s administration.
The call from these leaders is for the president to reconsider the current approach and prioritize reforms that would benefit the education sector and the students.
