Kabete Cares Baseballs team land Zanzibar invite

Kabete Cares Baseball team comprising of 35 members has been invited in Zanzibar for a series of friendly matches.
According to the Head coach George Kinuthia,the team has even invited by their hosts Golden Ovcas .
Kinuthia who is a member of the Kenya Baseball Federation technical said they ave been invited to participate in the Zanzibar event from December 17-20th.
The Kenya team comprising of both men and Girls
ave expressed confidence of giving a good account in the Zanzibar event.
However, Kinuthia is up in arms pleading for financial help from well-wishers to make the trip a major success.
He said the trip is quite crucial since the team will use the event as part of their preparations for the future International tournaments including national team selections the 2028 Olympic games that shall be held in Los Angels , America.
Kabete Cares had four U12 and three U18 players during Africa Qualifiers for the World held in Gilgil Nakuru County last year.
‘”We are appealing for funds for the Zanzibar trip,we require Ksh.1million for us to honour the trip.Baseball in United States and Japan is taken seriously,it’s one of the most adored sports,it’s played in schools including Universities,Academies and recreational centers,”he noted.
“Though we ave challenges,” he added,”we are fully serious in promoting and spreading the game to schools including private and Institutional centres .We are planning to travel with 30 players for both boys and Girls including five officials that will include Coach,Team manager and chaperon among others depending with funds available.”
He appealed to the Governor of Kiambu County, National Olympic Committee of Kenya, corporates and well-wishers to intervene and bail out the team .
