Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale has expressed his excitement to constituents after presiding over the reopening of a toilet at the Masindo Muliro Gardens in Kakamega, which he says had stopped operations over a fight between Governor Fernandes Barasa and the People Living With Disabilities (PLWD).
The Senator on Monday accused Governor Barasa of planning to take over the running of this facility from the Kakamega PLWD and vowed to fight off the county boss’ attempts.
The Senator further claimed Governor Barasa had moved to the Court of Appeal to have an earlier order by the High Court allowing the operationalisation of the toilet to be revoked.
