Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director captain William Ruto has asked Muslims faithful to Stick to the teaching of the holy Quran when observing the holy  month of Ramadhan.

Captain Ruto said the teachings of the Holy Qur’an deeply resonates with the day’s event.

He appealed to Muslims to make holy month of Ramadan an event that reminds them of unity.

“The authority takes pride in standing together in solidarity with Muslim brothers and sisters during this sacred month of Ramadan,” he pointed out.

He made the remarks during iftar food donations to 25 Muslim institutes at KPA headquarters in Mombasa county. The food donations are worth sh 3.3 million

The KPA MD reiterated the state corporation’s commitment to uplifting lives while marking the holy month through remarkable resilience.

Captain Ruto pointed out it is also a period marked through disciplined fasting, and devotion not only to personal spiritual growth but also to the wellbeing of the communities.

He also said apart from uplifting lives the authority is also committed to strengthening community welfare and standing in solidarity with those that require assistance.

“The authority aims to reach as many families as possible across the region impacting positively on their lives,” he disclosed.

The KPA MD  added that the authority remains committed to investing in programs that promote dignity, unity, and human welfare.

Captain Ruto pointed out that the state corporation takes pride in standing together in solidarity with their  Muslim brothers and sisters during this sacred month of Ramadhan this year.

He said in his speech that he trusts the authority’s partnership with religious leaders and community organizations will go a long way positively to promote and build a more inclusive and compassionate society.
 
“A key theme of holy month of Ramadan is compassion, praying for peace, unity, and the uplifting of the less fortunate members of our society,” he insisted.
 
The KPA MD further said for the whole month the faithful surrender their spiritual and physical selves to commit the time to intensified prayers, reflection, charity, and conviction.

Captain Ruto said for the past three years under his stewardship they have consistently been giving iftar food supplies to organizations and community-based organizations within the coast region.

He pointed out that through the existing collaborations with the community groups the authority aims to reach as many families as possible across the region impacting  positively on their lives.
