Jubilee Party presidential candidate Fred Matiang’i said it’s wrong to compare retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime with the Kenya Kwanza administration.
He said the two are entirely different arguing that there is no comparison to speak about.

“Kindly let  eligible voters register as voters in large numbers,” the JP hopeful appealed.

He spoke during this year’s annual iftar dinner held in Kongowea at an open residence of party organizing secretary Yasir Noor in Nyali constituency.

Matiang’i, who served as Interior Cabinet secretary during the last regime, announced he will embark in a virtual campaign against President William  Ruto’s administration after end of the holy month of Ramadhan.

He also  said  he will embark on popularizing the party  to clinch the 2027 general elections.

“I will organize a consultative meeting with  leaders from different aspects before engaging in the campaign against the regime in power,” he pointed out.

The Jubilee Party presidential candidate said the party is ready to prove its critics wrong by demonstrating they can do a better job when the party was in power.

Matiang’i, who was accompanied by deputy party leader Beatrice Mbodze Gambo and Party Deputsecretary general Zack Kìnùthia said  he is ready to show the party’s performance during the party’s regime.

He said under retired President Uhuru Kenyatta they had initiated the Dongo Kundu bypass project.

“We want to get back into the government after winning the 2027 polls to complete development projects our party leader had initiated,” he pointed out.

The Jubilee Party presidential candidate told the well attended forum that it’s high time to enroll in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to bring change after the 2027 polls.

The Party Deputy secretary general has asked aspirants for elective posts in the 2027 elections to make use of the party as  a vehicle to form the next government.

Kìnùthia regretted that the country is heading towards the wrong direction with the only solution remaining being voting out the Kenya Kwanza administration in next year’s polls.

Noor pointed out there is dredging currently going on along the coastal strip which has affected livelihoods of fishermen in the coast region.

Beatrice on her part said the current regime has formed a habit of claiming to have initiated development projects initiated by JP leadership.
