Voting open for Third “Belt and Road” Short Video Competition
Entries to the Third “Belt and Road” Short Video Competition started streaming in from June this year with the short video competition now entering the final stage. Entries were submitted on social media with the tag #WordKaleidoscope where the public can vote for their favorite videos on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.
This year, a number of divisions including Africa, America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Central Asia were introduced. StarTimes came on board as the competition’s media partner and continue to use its own media platforms and localized resources to provide strong support for the promotion of the event in various regions across Africa.
Organized by China Public Diplomacy Association, the News Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) of China and Global Times Online (Huanqiu.com), the event aims at inviting constructors and participants of the BRI (Belt and Road Initiatives) to create short videos with the theme “Share opportunities for a splendid future”.
This will enable organizers to show new development opportunities brought to individuals and countries by international cooperation against the backdrop of the post-pandemic era while telling stories on people-to-people bonds and how countries pull together through adversity and jointly create a bright future through international cooperation.
It is obvious that the synergies under BRI between Africa and China keep impacting positively and gaining public acknowledge among the people. Such include; Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway, and national digital migration in Mozambique.
