Kabogo declares himself Mt Kenya Spokesperson, joins Kenya Kwanza of Ruto
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has declared himself the official Mt Kenya spokesperson.
Speaking today in Kiambu County where Kenya Kwanza held a series of campaign rallies led by DP William Ruto, Kabogo shunned President Uhuru Kenyatta’s move to endorse ODM’s Raila Odinga as his heir apparent saying Kenyatta as of now has no moral authority to speak on behalf of Mt Kenya as his tenure has come to an end.
Kabogo unexpectedly showed up at the UDA party mega rally at the Thika stadium.
He said he will endorse Ruto in his presidential bid.
He even summoned the deputy president to the podium and shook his hand addressing him as the 5th president.
Kabogo went on to declare himself the Kikuyu spokesperson saying that President Uhuru Kenyatta is not fit to lead Mt Kenya.
“Uhuru Kenyatta aende apumzike taratibu. Niliskia wakisema hakuna Mkikuyu wa kuzungumzia Wakikuyu… nasema ni mimi nitazungumza… hata mama yangu alizaa… vile Uhuru alizaliwa na mama yake, pia mimi nilizaliwa.”
Kabogo is seeking the Kiambu County gubernatorial seat under his Tujibebe party.
