Uhuru, Sonko Share Podium For The First Time After Browl That Led to His Ouster

The former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko shared a podium with president Uhuru Kenyatta for the first time since his impeachment.

This was during the burial of the late Mama Loice Njeri Mbugua the mother to state house controller Kinuthia Mbugua in Nairobi County.

Sonko who has remained low key since the impeachment attracted a huge crowd when departing from the venue forcing him to address them.

“Today I joined the family, relatives, and friends of Hon. Kinuthia Mbugua in the funeral service of his late mother Mrs. Loise Njeri Mbugua at Mutuini ward, Dagoreti South constituency, Nairobi County,” said Sonko.

Sonko met President Uhuru Kenyatta and top Government Officials present.

Close Sources indicate that the former Governor is poised to make a return to politics in Support of Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Sonko’s popularity was also witnessed as youths shouted his names chanting slogans a hint that the flamboyant Former governor is still popular  and loved by many people.

The former County boss faced the wrath of county legislators in his term as governor.

However According to Sonko his former allies advised him to pick a fight with President Uhuru Kenyatta but went behind his back and rooted for his impeachment.
