Youths – We Stood with President Elect Ruto
Youth leaders drawn from a cross the country have come out to express confidence in the leadership of the President Elect Dr. William Ruto.
The youths form more than 50% of the total population and they played a pivotal role in the campaign for Dr Ruto.
One such youth leader is a vocal champ from Kikuyu Sub-County Mr. Perminus Njogu. He has always been on the front line and a diehard Ruto supporter.
In the recently concluded poll, Mr Perminus was a happy man to see his dream come to reality by whipping youths to vote for Ruto.
Youth leaders such as Mr Perminus are confident that the youths will be adequately represented in the Kenya Kwanza Government under the wise stewardship of Dr Ruto.
Dr. Ruto was equivocal in his pledged to the youths.
For example he promised a waiver of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax penalties for youth-owned businesses and to prioritise payment of pending bills to boost suppliers should he become President
Dr Ruto has also promised to legislate a 30-day time-frame for payment following protests by suppliers over delayed payments that have driven some businesses under.
He has also pledged to legislate tax incentives to ensure that young Kenyans gain skills from foreign companies operating in the country. These promises, which are intended to make life easier for the youth, are stipulated in a youth charter formulated by the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
