A high court in Malinda has terminated a murder case against gender Cs Aisha Jumwa.

The case has been before Malindi court Judge Anne Angucho.

This is following the application by the director of public prosecution seeking to drop the charges levelled against the C’s.

Through Lawyers Danstan Omari and Shadrack Wambui DPP has agreed to the application to have the matter withdrawn.According to the lawyers there was no direct link to the Cs after the ballistic was done and it also emerged that Jumwa has never owned a gun.
“The CS was attending a political rally in her Malindi constituency when she was an MP and chaos erupted which caught everyone unaware including Jumwa and gunshot rent the air leading to the death of one person,”said Omari

According to Omari, the murder charges levelled against his client were politically instigated and that the court is planning to use her as key witness in that matter.

Jumwa was charged alongside his bodyguard Geoffrey Okuto.
