Co-op bank partners with Siaya County to enhance service delivery
Siaya governor James Orengo has congratulated the new partnership with the Cooperative bank of Kenya.
The meeting was held at County offices where both parties discussed various ways to promote revenue collection and seal corruption loopholes.
Orengo praised the meeting noting that they explored options on how to form a partnership that will help improve the county revenue collection.
He said that the move would also help avoid the loss of the collection into individual pockets.
“A very fruitful meeting with representatives of the Cooperative Bank of Kenya. We explored options on how to form a partnership that will help improve the county revenue collection and avoid loss of the collection into individual pockets,” Orengo said.
He noted that by working with a reputable financial institution, the County will achieve its revenue target while also helping in fighting the corruption vice.
The Co-operative Bank of Kenya has continued its continental reign after it was named the best lender in the East African region for overall excellence in banking at the African Banker Awards Gala Ceremony.
The bank has in various instances partnered with various institutions to help in financial inclusion.

The Most Innovative Bank category, which recognized banks for using technology to target underserved and marginalized consumer groups and the impact of technology on how they provide customer service, was won by Co-operative Bank.
The lender also won first place in the area that evaluated bank activity in Financing Commercial Clients.
This category acknowledged banks for financing commercial clients’ company operations, initiatives, or investments in a way that provided long-term value for the client, leading to growth, efficiency, innovation, and market expansion.
In a move to help Kenyans enjoy easier access to banking services, Co-op Bank recently opened a new branch in Kamakis, on the Eastern Bypass at Greenspot Towers.
The new branches being opened by Co-op Bank are part of the implementation of its medium-term strategy focused on local expansion.
