Kilifi tycoon slaps Governor Mung’aro’s brother over failed deal

There was drama in Kilifi after renowned and notorious cartel Mr. Alinoor Mohammed Ali alias Alinoor Maghufuli slapped a chief officer who allegedly refused to take directions from the businessman.

It has emerged that David Mathethe who is the Chief Officer Health and Sanitation got into a serious confrontation from the tycoon who wants his brother employed in the county to the position of director public health.Interestingly, Mr Mwathethe is a brother to Governor Gideon Munga’ro and is believed to be strict on matters governance.

Those who witnessed the altercation between the two say that Mwathethe told Alinoor on his face that there’s no way he can get two vacancies in Kilifi county government.

Already his brother Abubakar Mohamed Ali is an employee at Kilifi County as chief officer lands and urban planning.

Mwathethe was heard saying “Hii serikali sio ya wasomali Kwenda uibe Mandera Mwizi wewe.” Realising that Mwathethe was playing hard to deal, the irate Alinoor unleashed his true colors with a heavy slap on  Mathethe’s cheeks in presences of other chief officers.

The commotion caused mayhem and all chief officers are now seeking protection from  Alinoor whom they claim enjoys support from powerful people at county and national government level.

Shockingly Governor Mung’aro upon being informed of the incidence downplayed and talked against any plans to have it captured in media.

The Governor is a close friend to Alinoor with sources indicating that he is a beneficiary of Alinoor’s business deals across several counties.

Alinoor has been seen in  several places including Governor’s office making key decisions to the surprise of other officers in the county.

The former Mandera county chief officer finance (Alinoor). Has been meeting key county officers at Barabar restaurant where all manner of bribery happens.

Some media reports have linked head of procurement Matano Riziki to night meetings with the tycoon.

It is also alleged that the governor has already secured him several tenders in the  health, roads and disaster management departments.

One of the chief officers who sought anonymity said that he is worried and he doesn’t know how he will work while being intimidated by outsiders.

“At this stage we are worried because it is like we are answerable to a stranger who is capable of anything,” the officer said.

Our investigations have established that   AliNoor is doing so because he wants to recover the campaign money he allegedly contributed to the Governor’s kitty.

Those close to governor Mung’aro now says that working in Kilifi it like working in Lagos, it is a town of blackmail, intimidation, conning and issuance of threats.

The untouchable Alinoor is facing several charges including the irregular acquisition of Sh32, 084,908 through forged bid-bond documents from Cooperative Bank.

He has also been linked to scghemed that saw an unsuspecting supplier issued with a fake LPO after paying Sh300k as part of facilitation only to be given a dubious LPO.A prominent Kilifi county assembly MCA who has a key role at the assembly said Alinoor has pocketed several investigative agencies including EACC and DPP in the region.“The guy is untouchable. Money talks. He swindled the county of Mandera millions of money. And our county boss is so weak. He can’t make decisions.

Alinoor has vowed through several MCAs to sponsor a motion to impeach the immediate Ganze MP and current Kilifi county speaker Teddy Mwambire.

Ali Musa, a Kilifi resident, supplier and a confidant to Alinoor, said that Alinoor gave out millions of money to Mwambire to dish out to MCAs to ensure his sister is employed for the position of assembly Board member. 

“Alnoor has vowed that he will make sure Mwambire sees the fire. It doesn’t matter how he is known but what we are after is money. Last time we were given 35000 each and we were promised Sh50000 after the name was passed and approved.” He said 
 
Already he has a preferred member of the assembly whom he has approached and ready to work as speaker.
