Controversial Pastor Ezekiel Odero Arrested in Kilifi
Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Centre in Mavueni, Kilifi County is being linked to some of the bodies discovered in the ongoing exhumation exercise at the controversial 800 acres parcel of land at Shakahola in Magarini sub county in Kilifi county.
Pastor Ezekiel is likely to be arraigned in court over a series of deaths in his church which has been closed.
The televangelist was arrested in Kilifi county and later transferred to Mombasa county for interrogation.
He spent part of his day at the provincial Criminal Investigation Department under tight security and was later joined by the family counsel Jared Magolo.
Interior cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki confirmed Pastor Ezekiel Odero is to face criminal charges related to mass killings of his followers as100 people were rescued from his church.

His counsel downplayed the charges saga against his client and refuted claims he was aware of the charges his client will face.
Magolo reiterated that the government is in a fishing mission and he was not aware what they were looking for from his client.
He pointed out he suspected the government is looking for what they don’t know from his client.
The death toll as of today in the ongoing exhumation at Shakahola forest which the government has declared out of bounds for members of the public and journalists has reached 105 bodies.
