President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua are expected to attend a thanksgiving mass of Energy Principal Secretary Alex Wachira on Saturday.

President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua are expected to attend a thanksgiving mass of Energy Principal Secretary Alex Wachira at his Nyeri County backyard on Saturday.

The event will be held at Irigithathi Primary school ground in Narumoro, Nyeri County.

Speaking to The Media, Wachira expressed his gratitude and anticipation for the upcoming gathering and urged people to come out in large numbers to welcome the head of state and his deputy.

He said that President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua have confirmed their attendance.

“Yes, the president and his deputy will be in Nyeri County over the weekend to grace my Thanksgiving mass at Irigithathi Primary School. The purpose of this event is to express our gratitude to God for the progress we’ve made, both personally and as a nation,” he stated

President Ruto’s visit to Nyeri County comes a month after he held a days extensive tour of the region.

During the visit, President Ruto held exclusive meetings with Mount Kenya leaders and launched various projects.

Former Nyeri gubernatorial aspirant and leader of the New Democrats Party, Thuo Mathenge, extended a warm welcome to President Ruto and Deputy Gachagua to Nyeri County.

“The people of Nyeri are ready and eager to receive the President in our County. We extend an open invitation to him to visit any part of the County and initiate development projects and meet his supporters .” Thuo said.

He urged all Kenyans to unite and support him in delivering on his campaign promises.

Gatanga MP and UDA legal secretary General Edward Muriu emphasized President Ruto’s commitment to the Mount Kenya region, revealing that the head of state would make frequent visits in the coming months to inaugurate various projects.

 “We are fully prepared for President William Ruto’s upcoming tours of the Mount Kenya region, and we enthusiastically look forward to providing unwavering support to his administration,” Muriu stated.

He said a host of Mount Kenya leaders will be expected to accompany him for a thanksgiving service hosted by the energy Principal Secretary.

Among those expected during the event includes Musalia Mudavadi (Prime Cabinet Secretary), Moses Wetang’ula (Speaker national assembly), Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri governor), Wahome Wa-Matinga (Senator), Ann Waiguru (Kirinyaga) Kanini Kega, Kimani Ichungw’ah (Kikuyu), and Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) among others.
