Handicap 19 wins golf classic
Nyali Golf and Country Club treasurer Yobesh Oyaro in action during the Nation classic golf series held at the Nyali Golf course in Mombasa county. A total of 212 golfers took part during the one-day event.
Sammy Muraya posted 44 points to be declared overall winner of the Nation classic golf series held at Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa county over the weekend.
Muraya, who is also a club member, playing off 19 handicap managed to beat a total of 212 golfers during the one-day event.
The grand finale of the Nation classic series will be held at the Capital City Nairobi in November.
Mombasa county executive in charge of sports Kenneth Muigai graced the prize giving and awards ceremony.
The best gross scores award on 0 and above went to Andrew Wahome with 68 gross playing off 2 handicap.
At the same time he also won the Division A runners-up award on the above 0-10.
Aydan Jamal won the junior title award after posting 37 points playing off 16 handicap.
The one-day’s tournament staff award went to Tobias Messo playing off 20 handicap and posting 49 points.
