Primary School Headteachers in Mombasa for annual Conference

Almost 10,000 primary school headteachers will converge at the port city of Mombasa for their 20th annual delegates conference from Monday.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba will perform the official opening of the four day forum.
According to a tentative program released to media houses the CS will on Tuesday be at the Sheikh Zayed hall in Mombasa county, which is the traditional venue for the teachers’ annual delegates meeting.
The host governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir will be the guest on the first day of the meeting.
According to the tentative program the forum’s theme is transformation leadership in the digital transition for inclusive and sustainable quality basic education in Kenya.
Prior to the forum the national executive board will meet over the weekend followed by the national governing council meeting.
The four day event is sponsored by the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), the Cooperative Bank and Oxford University Press among other co-sponsors.
Apart from the newly appointed CS opening the forum he will also launch the Kenya Primary Schools Heads Association (KEPSHA) board logo.
The association chairman Johnson Matheka Nzioka confirmed all arrangements have been finalized and they are ready to host the week’s forum.
