Former Military Officer Wins Weekend Golf Tournament in Mombasa

In the men’s category the winner award went to John Orioro after he posted 37 points on count back

A retired general has won this year’s Stanbic Bank annual Golf tournament held at Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa county.

Gen (Rtd) P M Kariuki won the overall title after posting 43 points. The tournament’s overall winner, playing off 22 handicap, managed to beat a crowd of 235 golfers.

In the men’s category the winner award went to John Orioro after he posted 37 points on count back playing off 10 handicap.

The runners up award in the men’s category went to Martin Ombura after posting 36 points on count back playing off 9 handicap.

Youthful golfer Emmanuel Lumatete went away with the men’s third award after he posted 36 points playing off handicap 7.

Mary Randu won in the ladies category after she managed to post 37 points playing off handicap 9. Hilda Mugure won the ladies runners up award after successfully posting 35 points playing off 18 handicap
