Gov’t Will not Raise Your Children For You Ruto tells Parents
The president said each parent has a big role to play in bringing up their children
President William Ruto has defended the government saying it has limits in guiding on how to bring up a children in the society.
He said the government can’t take the role of parents in raising up their children arguing it’s the responsibility of the parents.
“The government can’t take the role of of guidance which can be done through the effort of religious leaders and parents,” he pointed out.
President Ruto said caring for and guiding children is a collective responsibility and not for an individual and requires every stakeholder to come on board.
He was speaking during a wedding ceremony in Nyali constituency, Mombasa county.
The Head of State cautioned against pointing of fingers and blame games arguing it may make the situation worse unless each and everybody takes up their responsibilities.
President Ruto said his administration won’t be ready to lose the young generation in the next century.
He said each parent has a big role to play in bringing up their children and asked them to stop leaving the responsibility to the government alone.
“The government has a part to play but parents and religious leaders have also a part to play,” he pointed out.
The Head of State reminded the forum children are a blessing from the Almighty God and asked parents to have the time to bring them up.
