Kibra MP unveils state of the art Kibra Secondary School classes

Kibra Member of Parliament Imran Okoth has officially unveiled Kibra Secondary school state of art classes a project that has been fully funded by Kibra NG-CDF.

The new classrooms will see students or Kibera secondary school put to an end the classrooms congestions menace that has been affecting the school for a long period of time

Speaking during the official opening event attended by Nairobi City County Deputy Governor and Acting Governor, H. E. Ann Kananu, Hon Imran Okoth said that he will continue investing in education and promised to upgrade more learning facilities in the constituency

“We must keep building more classes and uplift the standards of education in our community” Hon Imran said

He said that he is going to work with the county government and the national government in building roads and opening up sewer lines in the densely populated slum area.

The MP asked the county government and the NMS to work closely with his office before giving contractors any projects.

Ms Kanumu Congratulated the Mp for the important Milestone and promised to work closely with Local leaders.

“I’m delighted that works are complete and the children can now enjoy the new facilities which will accord them with an opportunity to read and learn comfortably. My promise is to continue working closely with the National Government and NMS, but also elected leadership in Nairobi County Assembly and Parliament for the sake of service delivery to Nairobi residents.” Said Ms Kananu,

Kibra Secondary School has a total of thirteen (13) classes which will be able to accommodate sixty (65) students, a computer lab, two science labs, fifteen offices, a library and a Boardroom. The school currently has 402 students, once completed it will be able to host a total of 700 students.

“I am keen to ensure that no child is left behind in the attainment of education in Nairobi County. Am looking forward to unveiling more education facilities in the City.” MS Kanamu added
