Another of Raila’s close ally happy to have survived Covid-19 threat
City Businessman and politician Johnstone Oduk has revealed that he tested positive for Covid-19 and has been admitted at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital for the last 10 days.
Speaking to The Times on phone,Oduk revealed that he was part of the team that accompanied Mr. Odinga in his countrywide rallies in Western,Nyanza and the coast.
” I tested positive ten days ago just a few days before the party leader was declared positive,” Oduk said.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga tested positive early last week before one of his aides, Philip Etale also went public to declare he is positive.

Mr Oduk said that his experience at the hospital has not been easy but he is happy to have made steady progress in recovering.
” It has not been easy at all and I would want to tell Kenyans to treat this virus with the seriousness it deserves,”
Mr Oduk is the Managing Director for Paalmedia and the chairman of the Langáta leaders forum.

This comes even as the Ministry of Health on Friday evening announced 28 more deaths ,the highest single-day fatalities ever in Kenya,raising the total to 1,982.
Mr Oduk said that he is optimistic he will be released very soon but will keep isolating and oberving Covid-19 protocals
