Nairobi MCAs endorse Richard Ngatia for Nairobi Gubernatorial seat

Richard Ngatias bid for Nairobi gubernatorial seat has received a major boost after a section of Nairobi MCAs in the city endorsed his candidature.

This comes as NCCI boss heightened his campaigns to be the flag bearer of the Handshake team in the City.

The ward representatives said all indications were that Mr Ngatia is the the best suited to be the Handshake teams candidate come August 2022

Speaking after a consultative meeting in Nairobi, MCA Osman Khalif said the signs points towards Richard Ngatia and that’s why they were throwing their weight behind him.

Khalif pointed out that the body language of the ODM party leader Raila Odinga was also pointing towards Richard Ngatia.

“We are fanatically loyal to the structures of the leadership of our party and we cannot go outside what our party leadership guides. The body language of our party leader is that Ngatia is the man to beat as we speak, he is the only candidate who has the capabilities to manage Nairobi County,” said Mr Khalif.

Sarangombe MCA Kibra, Lawi Otieno added that they will rally their support behind Mr Ngatias candidature not because of coercion but because of his track record as a leader.

Westland MP Tim Wanyonyi, Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja,Kenya Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Richard Ngatia and business woman Agnes Kagure are the individuals who have so far expressed interest interest in Nairobi.
