Nkedianye’s efforts to meet Raila, ODM Officials fail
The Kajiado gubernatorial contest continues to draw twist and turns even as the political hit mounts against former governor David Nkedianye.
Nkedianye who is battling to secure his candidature through the ODM party has recently relayed mixed reactions and uncertainty over his future in the ODM party.
It is now emerging that he has tirelessly been looking for ODM leader Raila Odinga but to no avail. This is after media reports indicated that Mr Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta are supporting the reelection of current governor Joseph Ole Lenku.
” He has been demanding for a meeting with the party leader but it seems no one is interested,” a party official at Orange house revealed.
Nkedianye is said to have been rattled by reports that ODM and Jubilee are considering a consensus arrangement on how to field gubernatorial candidates in Kajiado and Narok.
Reports have insinuated that President Uhuru and Raila want Ole Lenku to serve his second term while ODM given a chance to field a joint candidate in Narok.
Nkedianye has visibly scaled down his political activities as he battles behind the scenes to secure his candidature.
