Tujibebe Wakenya party unveils National Elections Board Members

Tujibebe Wakenya party allied to former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has unveiled its National Elections Board (NEB), setting the ball rolling for its highly anticipated nominations scheduled for April.

With the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) having outlined its roadmap to the August 9 polls, parties are racing against time to beat the set deadlines. 

The party announced it will have a nomination to all Counties in Kenya and promised they will be free and fair.

Among those appointed to sit on the elections, boards include Lucy Kamau (Chairperson), Isaac Rene (deputy chairperson), Njeri Karen (Secretary), Eva Muhia (board member), and Sammy Onyango.

Party leader William Kabogo has congratulated the newly formed team and reminded them of their duty in conducting a transparent process. 

“I would like to congratulate the newly inaugurated NEB and reminded them of the heavy task ahead of conducting free and fair nominations,” read the party statement in part. 

With the nominations expected to test the strength of the party, party leader William Kabogo has urged the NEC to ensure free and fair elections to avert any disastrous fallouts.

“The National Elections Board wishes to bring to the attention of its Members and aspirants that, it has scheduled to carry out the Party’s nominations as from Monday the 11th of April, 2022 to Thursday the14 th of  April, 2022,” he said.

Kabogo has said that he is optimistic that they will have majority seats across the Country.

Also speaking, the party secretary General Irungu Gathii said that the party has put in place a proper mechanism.

He said that the party has over 350 aspirants across the Country.

 “The Tujibebe Wakenya Party would like to bring to the attention of the party members, Prospective aspirants, and the general public about the membership of the National Elections Board of the party. As per section 38G1(f) of Elections Act, 2011, the following are the members of the board, “he said.

He said that The Tujibebe Wakenya Party Nomination Dates and Nominations Method is In line with its mandate.

“We are optimistic that we will have a majority of elected candidates in our party and we will continue popularizing it to the grassroots level,” he said.
