ODM Losers Told to Swallow Bitter Pill And Support The Party

Disgruntled ODM losers in the just concluded party primaries have been urged to soldier on and support the party to win the August general elections.
Changamwe legislator Omar Mwinyi has urged the losers to stop holding a grudge against those who won and instead support them.
He insisted they should focus on the big picture after the party wins during the August polls.
“It’s important to focus on winning the polls and the party must put its house in order before the official kick off of campaigns,” he pointed out.
Mwinyi said he is optimistic the party will find a lasting solution to those who lost after forming the next government to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.
He was speaking at Mwingo primary school during the disbursing of bursary for students in Changamwe constituency, Mombasa county.
The legislator said losing in the party primaries is not the end of their political career arguing that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Mwinyi acknowledged the party has its share of challenges and has noted the concern of the losers.
He urged the disgruntled party members to embrace dialogue and harmony for the sake of winning this year’s polls.
“We are aware the party primaries have caused divisions but time has come to put our best foot forward,” he pointed out.
The local legislator echoed NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua’s sentiments that the best foundation of politics is to elect leaders from the grassroots to the national level during the polls.
Mwinyi urged disgruntled party members to stop losing their temper and being angry with the ODM primaries and instead come to terms with the outcome.
He pointed out they will meet to chart the way forward ahead of this year’s polls.
“The big challenge lies ahead which requires a sober approach and to sit down with disgruntled members,” he added.
