Corporal Hailed for an act of kindness
The National Police Service is proud of one female officer, Corporal Christine Mugambo.
A message on the National Police Service official Twitter account read:
“November 1 was just a normal office day to CPL Christine Mugambi who dutifully reported at the National Police Headquarters – Jogoo House “A” to do what she loves the most; front office duties. It surprised her that in the service to the public on this day, one of the visitors would be touched by her kindness and professionalism. At about 5.30am on this fateful day, Mr. Charles Waweru alighted in Nairobi after an overnight trip from Kitui.
Unfortunately, he had lost all his belongings in the vehicle he was travelling in and sought help at the NPS Headquarters. And in his own words as captured by a popular news outlet, Waweru said, “… I’m deeply indebted. I had no phone, she offered hers and I called home.
She even offered to chip in with bus fare if I had none,” he was quoted.
He added, “May God bless you richly, keep up the good work.”
CPL Christine Mugambi has been working at the National Police Service Headquarters- Main Reception Desk deployed under the SGB Unit of the Administration Police Service. She previously worked on secondment at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission performing customer care duties.
She holds a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology (KSSI) and has an unbridled passion for front office duties with experience spanning about 8 years.
The National Police Service thanks Mr. Charles Waweru for the positive feedback to one of our many professional and dedicated officers serving the public in different capacities.”
