SOBIFAK Farmers Hail Government On Lifting GMO Ban

More than 60 farmers from across the country on Thursday convened in Nairobi to reflect to reflect on their farming experiences over the last one year.
This is for the purpose of charting and gauging the best way forward towards improving their productivity and returns from farming over the coming year.
This comes two months after the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture lifted a decade long ban on importation and utilisation of genetically modified foods which effectively led to authorisation of commercial cultivation of GM crops.
Therefore as farmers from SOBIFAK have conveyed their most gratitude to the Excellency Dr.William Ruto and the Cabinet Secretary for taking Bold Steps to lift the ban and allow for access to climate resilient high yielding crops.
