Charlene Ruto, the daughter of President William Ruto, has sparked online buzz after claiming she was the original voice behind the idea of generational talks in Kenya.
Speaking on Friday at an event in Nairobi, Charlene said, “Raila Odinga was not the first person to call for generational talks, it was me. He copied me.”
Her statement has stirred mixed reactions, especially as the country continues to witness growing demands from Gen Z for inclusion, reform, and national dialogue.
The comment comes at a time when various leaders, including Raila Odinga, have voiced support for intergenerational discussions to address the concerns raised by Kenya’s youth.
