Machakos County Receives Sh2.5m for GBV Recovery Centre

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has attracted investments Ksh2.5 million to Machakos county.

The funds will be used for the construction of a gender centre.

According to the donors her unmatched way of service delivery to the Great people of Machakos, Wavinya has attracted the aid to better the lives of the people.

Governor Wavinya noted:

“Today we have received a donation of equipment worth Ksh. 2.5 million from United Nations Population Fund and Activities to be used at the Gender Based Violence Recovery Centre. We have also received a modern cooker from the Equity Bank foundation.

My administration is committed to ensure that we conclusively address gender based violence cases. We will also ensure that no woman dies while delivering as this initiative is geared towards minimizing such calamities.

We thank our partners for partnering with the County Government to better the welfare of the gender violence victims.”
